A commercial strategy by which a company proposes the sale of a certain number of copies of a product. When this number is reached, the company commits to not offer more of the same product. This practice comes from the art world, where graphic works are numbered and limited. In the luxury world, it is a strategy that is increasingly being implemented to guarantee a certain degree of exclusivity and to reconcile volume and prestige.
